Viewpoint Windows New Regional Dealer for Cascadia Windows

Viewpoint Inc. is announcing this month that they have partnered with Cascadia Windows, a British Columbia company, in the retail distribution of innovative fiberglass windows and doors. The origin of Cascadia Windows has evolved from RDH Group, who are recognized leaders in the building science consulting field in the Pacific North West, and several stockholder individuals from RDH Group have recently formed the new window and door company.

Viewpoint Windows, Doors and Hardware will promote and market Cascadia Windows from three locations in Idaho. “We are pleased about our exclusive dealer potential with Cascadia”, says Matt Barrow, owner of Viewpoint, Inc. “June will see a stronger launch of the Cascadia products at Viewpoints regional showrooms in Eastern Idaho (Teton) area, the Ketchum/Sun Valley area, which are the company headquarters, and then in the South West Idaho (Boise) area.”

The energy efficient qualities of fiberglass and the strength of the components allow for meeting many tough specifications not only in the residential market, but in commercial applications as well. The environmental impact (embodied energy) of fiberglass is much lower than aluminum and vinyl manufacturing.

Cascadia Windows are a good fit for a diverse market because of the custom fit capability and the integrated approach in how they view technical support in high performance structures. Tougher energy codes require high performance windows and glazing and Cascadia is leading in products that exceed energy codes in the U.S. and Canada. BC Business Magazine recently named Cascadia Windows as one of BC’s top 10 most innovative companies in 2012.

All of the window and door products feature fiberglass frames. Fiberglass frames are known to have many life-cycle advantages over traditional framing materials. Other criteria line up for fiberglass as one of the perfect building components, such as water penetration resistance, energy efficiency in low U-values, thermal performance, and span strength.

One of the strongest benefits for durability and long life cycles is the thermal movement relative to cladding of fiberglass and also the thermal movement relative to glass…all higher rated over aluminum, vinyl, or wood framed windows. Other notable benefits of the Cascadia Windows are the painting and refinishing ease of the window and door products…meaning many color combinations.

Viewpoint will have more details and product samples after June 18, 2012. Until then, please direct inquiries to www.viewpointwindows.com, or to greg@vpwindows.com. Boise location phone 208-854-1877.
